Century Arms has imported a huge number of AK-47s since their inception in 1961. It only stands to reason that they’d want to import a huge amount of AK-47 ammunition, so long as they’re at it. And here it is! Century Arms’ very own Red Army Standard ammunition, made in Russia and ready to ЯOCK!

This round has a 122 grain bimetal jacket bullet. Such a jacket still has a thin sheet of copper on the outside, but beneath that is hard, strong steel. This reduces how much copper Red Army Standard has to invest into bullet production – a reason for their bang-up price tags – but of course magnetic bullets do pose certain risks that often get them banned at some indoor ranges. Red Army Standard loads their magnetic bullet in a magnetic case, made of pure steel to eliminate costly brass from the equation and polymer-coated to promote less friction and more reliable cycling. Red Army Standard’s polymer isn’t like the old lacquer treatment you’d fine on older Russian ammo, so it does well to resist singeing off to stick in the action. This ammo also has clean burning propellant and non-corrosive primers. It’ll still shoot a little dirtier than any brass cased stuff, but hey – who doesn’t enjoy cleaning an AK-47?
